September News & Events!

As we all settle into the fall routines, don’t forget to include checking this page and our Facebook page for events and activities at the Poestenkill Library!

September 9 – Cookbook Book Club – 6:30pm – This month’s theme is Harvest! Bring a fruit or vegetable dish. Open to any one interested in cooking and sharing recipes!

September 11 – LEGO Club – 6:30pm – This month’s theme is Monsters! Come in and create monsters and things with our large selection of LEGO/Duplo pieces.

September 21 – Fall Market Day sponsored by The Friends of Poestenkill Library. Delicious bake sale, huge book sale ($5.00 per bag, bring your own bag), amazing puzzle sale (stock up for the winter!), and beautiful gift baskets for raffle. From 9am to 1pm on the lawn of the library. Rain date 9/22. We need some helpers for set up at 7am and take down at 1pm. Please contact the library if you can spare an hour or two to help at this very fun event. The food truck, Having a Meltdown, will be at the Farmers’ Market right across the parking lot. It’s a great chance to get a wonderful breakfast sandwich or choose from a great menu of grilled cheese sandwiches. Market Day at the library is always a wonderful community event! Stop in and join the fun!

September 23 – A member of Rep. Antonio Delgado’s office will be at the library from 10am to noon. This mobile office helps constituents receive support for Federal services and brings important information directly into the communities Rep. Delgado represents.
