The library is open for normal hours and there is no restriction on the number of people in the building. Masks are still required as the under 12 group of patrons is not currently eligible for vaccines. We also have pick-up in the entry foyer, if you prefer. There are many, many new books for all ages! Stop in and see what we have on the shelf! If you do not find what you were searching for, we can reserve it online for you. You can always access the catalog online using the link on the right. Reserve the newest titles, select Poestenkill Library as your pickup location, and we will contact you when the item is available.
We have a nice selection of children’s nonfiction on the sale shelf. Margie is doing her last round of weeding out books that have not gone out in several years. Check the sale shelf in the foyer for great titles. Only $.50 each!

The Story Walk has been installed at the Poestenkill Community Forest on Legenbauer Road. It is on the newly updated, accessible Dorothy’s trail. The book is A Log’s Life. Thank you to the Rensselaer Plateau Alliance for allowing us to have the Story Walk on the trail. Thank you to Jeff Briggs, Lianne & Bill Thompson, Nate Jamison, and LouAnne Lundgren for installing the 16 stakes and pages of the Story Walk. The materials were provided through a grant from the Upper Hudson Library System.
Ancestry.com is back! The Upper Hudson Library System is again funding the subscription to the Library Edition of Ancestry.com. You may use it at home, through the end of the year, as long as you have an active library card. You may also access it at the library. We currently have one public computer open.
Plans for summer reading and a new online service, Checkers TV, are being finalized. Check back to see details.
