Make your own Gingerbread Houses!

At the Poestenkill Library on Tuesday, December 18th OR Thursday, December 20th at 6:30pm

Snacks and all the supplies you need will be provided!

Children under 8 years of age must be accompanied by an adult and pre-registration is required.

International Games Day 2012

Over 2000 libraries around the world will be showcasing gaming programs in support of

We will have many board games and computer games available for families to play together, and snacks will be served. If you have a favorite game, feel free to bring it!

This program is free and no advance registration is required.

Fall Market Day 2012 – Sat September 22nd!

The Friends of Poestenkill Library are busy gathering gently-used accessories, puzzles, baked goods, and books – everything they want to offer to the community for the Semi-Annual Market Day. Delicious baked goods are sold from the library’s front porch. The Town Green (the library lawn) will be covered with tables filled with thousands of books, DVDS, & audio books (fill a bag for $3), jewelry and scarves (great deals can be found here), and puzzles. At around 11am you will begin to smell the grilled hot dogs and homemade chili – a very yummy lunch! Themed baskets will be raffled. Please stop in between 9am and 1pm on Saturday, September 22nd (rain date 9/23) and join us for this great community event!

Summer Reading BBQ!

THURSDAY, AUGUST 30th at 6pm: SUMMER READING BBQ! The last event of the summer! Bring the whole family down to the library for our “end of summer reading” celebration. Hot dogs, drinks, and snacks will be served. We will be holding the drawings for the teen and adult programs. This is your best opportunity to pick up your completion certificates (Children) and prizes. So that we may plan accordingly, please let us know you’re coming by signing up at the library desk or calling 283-3721. Thank you!
