If you are shopping today for Prime Day – or any other time you shop Amazon.com – you can help the Poestenkill Library. Shop through AmazonSmile.com (don’t forget to bookmark it for future use!) and choose to support Poestenkill Library. Amazon will donate a small percentage (.5%) of your purchase costs to the library. It’s great way to support the library while doing your shopping!

Two great events coming up in the next two weeks.
Saturday, 7/14 – The Friends of Poestenkill Library will hold a Bake Sale at the Poestenkill Farmers’ Market (on the Town Hall lawn) from 9am to noon. Stop in and buy some delicious treats! They are looking for some bakers also. You can drop your donations of baked items off at the library on Friday from 10-1 or bring them directly to the Farmers Market on Saturday.
Thursday, 7/19 – Dyken Pond will bring its Traveling Pond to the library @ 6:30. They have live fish, salamanders, frogs, and insects. Learn how these animals survive in their environment. Free to all. Please call the library at 518-283-3721 to register.

The library will be closed on Wednesday, July 4th. We are open Tuesday from 1:00 – 8:30 so you can get all your reading and/or watching needs for the holiday.
The Annual Tie-Dye Night is scheduled for 6:30-7:30 on July 5th. This is an outdoor event so please check this site and/or Facebook in case of unsettled weather. We may need to reschedule if the storms come in. All you need for this event is a white or light-colored item that you want to turn into a work of art!
