I am so sorry to have to do this again but it is always SAFETY FIRST! We are going to postpone the Tie Dye event to July 28th. Last week turned out to be humid but not rainy. It doesn’t look like we are going to be so lucky this week.
We are going to put together some added attractions to Tie Dye Night on the 28th to make up for all this canceling! Stay tuned for announcements!
Again, my apologies. Try as I might, I can’t control everything!!!

12:30pm – Due to the current weather forecast, we are rescheduling the Tie Dye Night to July 14th. This gives us enough time to notify everyone, rather than scrambling tomorrow afternoon to get in touch with everyone that has registered. We would rather have a fun-filled evening than worry about getting everything done before a storm comes in, or hope that one passes by quickly. I hope that everyone who has signed up can join us on the 14th!
Don’t forget – Summer Reading starts on the 7th regardless of the weather!! Drop off your reading registration at the library. Forms are available using the links in the article below this one or you can fill one out at the library. I’ll let you in on a little secret – the grand prize at all three levels is a Kindle Fire!! Each level will be in the running for a grand prize. Read often, and make sure you record how long you read so you can earn raffle tickets for the drawing for the Kindle Fire.
I apologize for any inconvenience the rescheduling of Tie Dye Night may cause your family. We thought we should err on the side of caution.

The 2016 Summer Reading Program will kick off on Thursday, July 7th, with our Annual Tie Dye Night. In each of the last two years we have had 60-80 people participate in this fun and messy event! Tie dyed shirts, socks, pillow cases, shorts, etc have been twisted, rubber banded, and squirted with lots of colors to create one-of-a- kind items. Last year, we tie dyed a tablecloth for the library! You bring the item you want to tie dye (white works best) and we supply the rest, including gloves! The event is from 6:00-7:00 pm. Please register at the library or through facebook. This event is fun for all ages!
