Event planning survey – Sara has created a brief survey to help plan programs for the upcoming season. Please use this link Event Survey to complete the survey online or stop in the library and fill out a paper copy. Thank you for your input.

Spring Market Day – May 14th – The Friends of Poestenkill Library are organizing for Market Day. They are in need of helpers to set up and take down that day. They also need some volunteers to help on a few of the tables. If you have just a couple of hours to spare that day, we could use your assistance. It is a fun event to be a part of; people love to visit and browse for bargains. Market Day is from 9am to 1pm, with set up beginning at 7am and take down at 1pm. Please call or stop in at the library to sign up to help out. Rain date is Sunday, May 15th. Thank you!

Museum Passes – There are passes to two museums available for a 3-day loan.
USS Slater – for 2 adults & 2 children ($28 value)
Clark Art – for 1 adult admission ($20 value)

Online Magazines! Great selections!

The 29 member libraries of the Upper Hudson Library System (Albany & Rensselaer Counties) offer an amazing selection of magazines to view online through Overdrive. The magazines have been available for a while and patrons are raving about them. The Overdrive link to the right will take you to the magazine collection. Their online help offers great step-by-step directions for accessing the magazines. The first thing you need to do is download the NOOK app, regardless of what device you are using. I read magazines on my iPad and I love it! I am so surprised by the variety of titles I can choose. And more are being added as they become available. I hope you get a chance to check it out. I would much rather be reading current magazines while I am waiting for a doctor, than something that is a year or two old! Try it, I think you’ll be hooked!
