Library closed on July 4th!

The library will close in honor of the July 4th holiday. The library will be open on Friday, July 3rd.

Have you sent back your Friends membership?

The Friends of Poestenkill Library do great things for the library. They have purchased book collections, they fund the program coordinator, cover the cost of the weekly cleaning of the library, and many, many more things. The two annual Market Days are favorites among the community. The Holiday Lights Appeal in the winter raises money for the library operating costs and makes the library glow on those cold winter evenings. They are always looking for new members, new helpers, and new ideas.
May was membership month and letters went out inviting our friends to become Friends! If you haven’t renewed your annual membership or if you want to join the Friends, there is still time. You can put the forms in the mail or drop them off at the library.

Wonderful Market Day!

It was a beautiful day and the Friends of Poestenkill Library are very pleased with the results of Market Day. People filled the lawn at the library, searching the tables for good bargains, filling their bags with books, or just chatting with friends they hadn’t seen during the endless winter! Thank you for your support!

Spring Market Day – May 2nd!

The Friends of Poestenkill Library are busy gathering collectibles, gently-used handbags, jewelry & scarves, and making lists of helpers and bakers for the Spring Market Day. This great event always brings in large crowds as it is one of the first local events of Spring.

From 9am to 1pm, the lawn at the library will be covered in tables filled with basket raffles, books, attic treasures, plants, gently-used handbags, jewelry & scarves, and lots of people! The library porch is the site of the delicious baked goods and coffee.
