The library is a great, air-conditioned place to spend some time over the next few hot days! Please see the library’s hours at the right. We have public use computers (1/2 hour usage time per patron), plenty of places to sit and use your own electronic device with free Wi-Fi, and a great social atmosphere (which means we do not shush!) in the center of town. We have many, many new books for adults, teens, and children. There are a variety of magazines available for use in the library and to take home. Lots of DVDs to choose from, as well as music CDs and books on CD. There is something for everyone! While you are there, sign up for the summer reading program and earn prizes for your reading!

The winner of the 3rd Annual Leo Clement Scholarship is Lydia Sharp. Lydia’s essay was chosen from the five entries received. The essays were all very well done and the decision was not easy to make. Lydia just graduated from Averill Park High School and will be attending the Rochester Institute of Technology.
The Leo B. Clement Memorial Scholarship is funded by a generous gift from Alma Clement in memory of her late husband. Mrs. Clement established this fund specifically for scholarship purposes to a high school senior who loves reading.

Friday, June 22nd will be the last regularly scheduled preschool story hour for a while. Miss Dona is taking a much deserved summer break but she will be back with wonderful new ideas and stories in the fall. Please watch this site, our Facebook page (have you liked us yet?), and The Advertiser for other summer family programs.
Don’t forget to sign up for the Summer Reading program. It is for kids, teens, and adults. Online registration will open on July 5th. There will be a summer reading “tab” on this page. Win prizes for reading this summer!
We hope to see you in the library during the summer. We are still open on Friday mornings even if Miss Dona isn’t here! We are getting great new books for all ages almost every day. Stop in and check out the newest titles.
